Weekend Recap

What is gentleness? It isn’t just being careful when you are holding something that could easily break. Being gentle is being loving, kind, patient, caring, and considerate with our words and actions, especially toward someone who is in a tough situation.

What You Need:

  • A piece of paper and something to write with

What You Do:

  • Together with your kids, take a piece of paper and trace an outline of your hand. Write the phrase “Be Gentle” on the palm. 
  • Have a conversation with your kids about ways they can be gentle at home, at school, and in their neighborhood. 
  • On the tips of each finger, draw the faces of five people that you can show gentleness to. 
  • Underneath their faces, write their names and find a way to be gentle to them this week!
